ConPorts maintains a good environmental track record where all concentrate is received in sealed containers, unloaded by forklift into enclosed conveyor systems for bulk storage in a sealed storage building. Shiploading is also carried out via enclosed conveyor systems. Wash down water is fully recycled and reused on site.

ConPorts storage and shiploading facility is deemed a "Scheduled Premises" under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 and therefore operates under licence from the Office of Environment and Heritage.
